After a thorough analysis of the market prospects, BST eltromat International has decided to close parts of its BST ProControl division. The delivery of new measurement systems and system upgrades from BST ProControl will expire at the end of 2019. The service area will remain as usual. In total, a team of seven people will continue to support BST ProControl's existing customers all over the world. This includes After Sales, Help Desk, service technicians on site at the customers as well as the delivery of spare parts and radiation sources.
The new "perfecting your performance" strategy of the elexis Group, whose largest subsidiary is BST eltromat, focuses even more clearly on the benefits for the Group's customers. The partial closure of BST ProControl also fits into this picture. The same applies to the acquisition of the majority shareholding in Nyquist Systems GmbH, Landsberg am Lech / Germany, which was handled by elexis AG at the beginning of 2019. With their performance and reliability, the inspection systems of the TubeScan family from Nyquist Systems ideally complement BST eltromat's offer in the areas of 100% inspection and web inspection in the narrow web market. Both the partial closure of BST ProControl and the majority shareholding in Nyquist Systems thus represent a strengthening of the company's core competencies.
BST eltromat had founded BST ProControl GmbH in 2013 with the takeover of the companies betacontrol and Protagon as a 100% subsidiary and at the beginning of 2017 fully integrated it into its processes as an independently operating division. The process of partial closure should be as smooth as possible for BST ProControl's customers.
