Quality control: Eislingen lubricant experts convert former company laboratory into high-tech quality control laboratory
Quality and quality assurance have always been central themes in the product strategy of Zeller+Gmelin. The lubricant experts have built a new test laboratory for this purpose on the traditional factory premises in Eislingen. In the future, as many parameters as possible are to be carried out in the high-tech facility on the basis of current test instructions, thus significantly accelerating the testing and release process.

SABIC, a global leader in the chemicals industry, has embarked on a pilot project with Schwarz Group, Europe’s largest retail store operator, for the use of transparent film bags made from certified circular polyethylene (PE) in vegetable packaging. The project will include various different PE technologies from SABIC’s TRUCIRCLE™ portfolio based on materials produced via feedstock recycling of mixed and used plastic. Through this project 1 kg bags for organic carrots, made of flexible film using SABIC’s certified circular polyethylene, will be introduced between October and December 2020 by the retail group into selected stores operating under the Lidl and Kaufland brands in Germany.

Metsä Board, a leading European manufacturer of premium virgin fiber board and part of the Metsä Group, is proud to present two of its folding boxboard grades - MetsäBoard Natural FBB and MetsäBoard Pro FBB OBAfree - and two food service grades - MetsäBoard Natural FSB Cup and MetsäBoard Pro FSB Cup - have now received NF T 51-800 certification for home compostability.
