Renewed focus on quality as company with decades of heritage transforms into standalone business

AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global leader in print inspection solutions for the label and flexible packaging industries, is today (3 March, 2025) proud to announce its transformation into an independent company. With more than 30 years at the forefront of inline and 100% inspection solutions, AVT is now building on its rich heritage and returning to its roots as a standalone brand, fully dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in print inspection technology.
The launch of the new AVT follows the company’s acquisition by Porat Itay Holdings, and heralds an exciting new chapter that Co-Owner and new CEO Roy Porat says will deliver “the same great AVT, now focusing on what we do best—print inspection, process control and quality assurance.”
AVT has been at the vanguard of print inspection advancements since it was founded in 1992, helping printers worldwide achieve unparalleled quality and efficiency through automated systems that deliver unrivalled quality control at the highest production speeds. After being acquired by Danaher in 2017 and subsequently integrated into Esko, AVT is now reclaiming its independent identity, allowing it to focus exclusively on its core expertise and capitalise on its potential for growth.
“This is an incredibly exciting milestone for everyone at AVT,” said Roy Porat, who served as the company President in 2020-2022. “Re-establishing our independence marks an exciting new chapter for us. We are fully committed to reinforcing our leadership in advanced print inspection and color measurement technologies, ensuring that our customers benefit from the highest level of precision, efficiency, and innovation to help drive their own businesses. We have an incredibly strong and dedicated team that focuses on serving our global customers, and today is a testament to all their hard work over the past thirty-three years.”
With a renewed vision, AVT is underlining its leading position as a trusted partner for print professionals worldwide. The company remains dedicated to providing 100% defect detection, proven ROI-driven solutions, and cutting-edge AI-powered inspection technologies that help printers optimize production, reduce waste, and ensure flawless results to boost their own productivity - and their bottom line.
“As part of the acquisition agreement, AVT retains its special partnership with both Esko and X-Rite, allowing AVT to continue to collaborate closely with other industry leaders and offer its unique capabilities of seamless workflow and unmatched color measurement,” added Roy Porat. “As an independent company, we are laser-focused on delivering state-of-the-art print inspection solutions that empower our global customers to achieve operational excellence.”
“We are incredibly excited for what the future holds,” said Porat. “As this new chapter begins, we look forward to unveiling our latest innovations to help customers in pursuit of a new era of print inspection excellence.”
AVT will make its 2025 debut as a standalone company at ICE Europe, Messe München (Munich Trade Fair Centre) in Germany, from 11-13 March 2025. The company will be co-exhibiting alongside Esko - visit the AVT team at stand #786.
