The new bizhub PRESS C71cf, a digital press specifically designed for narrow web applications, represents the culmination of digital printing technology and high-end performance. Transition from analog to digital label printing to personalize output, handle short runs and multiple SKUs more efficiently, shorten lead times, improve consistency, and reduce make-ready time and waste.
The bizhub PRESS C71cf does not require pre-coating of substrates. The press prints full CMYK color, at 1200dpi x 1200dpi / 8bit gradation and supports a maximum paper width of 320mm (approx. 13”). Feeding speeds range from 62ft/min to 31ft/min. Variable content printing and both PPML and PDF/VT formats available. Print substrates include pressure-sensitive paper in gloss, semi-gloss or matte finishes to wine stocks, white BOPP, PET and polypropylene. The C71cf is designed for ease-of-use a very short learning curve and ease of maintenance, offering unparalleled uptime.
The MGI JETvarnish 3DW allows label printers to go digital for spot UV coating and embossed hot foiling without dies, screens or expensive tooling on narrow webs up to 420 mm/16.53.'' The 100% digital technology provides quick prototyping, short-run customization flexibility and the ability to use variable data for personalizing text and graphics on every label.
The JETvarnish 3DW is designed for both 2D (flat)/3D Embossed Spot Coating over flexo, offset or digital web-fed printed output. Hot foiling can be added with glamorous metallic colored foils to embellish label designs. The JETvarnish 3DW has an inline flexo station that applies a pre-coating treatment to label substrates not originally planned for inkjet processing.
Konica Minolta will also exhibit the Spartanics semi-rotary converting system, offering a complete turnkey label finishing solution to customers.
