Total, Intraplás and Yoplait announced today that they have successfully run a pilot test aiming at using certified chemically recycled polystyrene in yogurt pots. This is the first step of a collaborative initiative aiming at testing the use of chemically recycled polystyrene in yogurt pots, supporting the development of sustainable PS recycling in France.

Stora Enso has decided to invest in centralising and modernising the wood handling capacity at its Imatra mills in Finland. The investment of EUR 80 million will enhance Stora Enso’s production capabilities for premium packaging board. The investment supports the Group’s strategy of sustainable profitable growth through packaging in strong customer segments. The investment is planned to start in Q1 2021 and to be completed in Q3 2022.

Stora Enso is investing EUR 14 million to build a granulation and packing plant for lignin, allowing easier packing and handling of lignin compared to powder and wet form. The granulation plant will be located at Stora Enso’s Sunila Mill in Finland.

Apprentices are also being sought for 2021 - taster days for all interested parties
Since 1 September 2020 there are for the first time two female apprentices for the apprenticeship occupation of paper technician at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf. A total of 22 apprentices are currently in training. Apprentices are also being sought again for 2021. The best way to get an insight into the individual apprenticeships is to attend the taster days at Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorf. Registrations for these are possible until the end of January 2021.

Henkel has opened a state-of-the-art, fully automated Laundry & Home Care warehouse at its production facility in Montornès del Vallès, Spain (Barcelona). The company has enabled an investment of 22 million euros in the 24,000 square meter warehouse, which will serve as a major logistics hub for Southern Europe.
