Highcon Systems Ltd, a leading provider of digital die cutting and creasing systems for folding carton and corrugated packaging and display, is excited to announce its participation in FACHPACK 2024 in Germany. This premier trade fair, dedicated to packaging, technology, and processes, will take place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from 24th to 26th September 2024.
Highcon will present its state-of-the-art digital die-cutting solutions at the SEE (Sealed Air) booth, in Hall 6, Stand 6-320. This event will offer attendees an opportunity to witness firsthand how Highcon's digital die-cutting solutions can deliver substantial value to customers.
During FACHPACK, global packaging solutions provider SEE will highlight the enhanced capabilities of its new SEALED AIR® brand Korrvu® retention and suspension packaging product line, developed with Highcon's Beam 2C digital die-cutting system. The Korrvu packaging solutions are designed to optimize dimensional weight (DIM) while featuring striking laser die-cut bracing. This innovative technique involves laser-cutting a flexible fluted corrugated web to securely encase products such as cosmetic tubes or soap bars, thereby enhancing both protection and aesthetic appeal.
Ingo Lublow, Director of the EMEA Packaging Application Center at SEE, explains "What we are trying to do is enhance the customer experience and optimize the packaging. We use Highcon's digital die cutting to create packaging, incorporating both branding and messaging while also protecting the product from shock and vibration. For e-commerce and fulfillment applications, we cut the box down to the lowest level, put a top lid on, optimizing the packaging so we don't ship any air."
"Highcon is proud to collaborate with SEE in demonstrating the transformative potential of our digital die-cutting technology," says Jürgen Freier, VP Sales & General Manager, Highcon Europe. " The Korrvu brand is a good example of how digital die cutting can be leveraged to develop innovative packaging that is environmentally superior to traditional methods and assists customers in achieving their sustainability targets and creating new business opportunities."
Highcon's digital die-cutting solutions are set to transform the packaging industry by replacing traditional die tooling with precise digital capabilities, significantly reducing production lead times and facilitating smaller order quantities. This technological advancement supports sustainability initiatives by eliminating the necessity for conventional dies, reducing excess packaging storage, and enhancing recyclability.
