The innovative MouventTM Cluster technology heralds a new age in digital inkjet printing

Mouvent – a new company founded by a joint venture between BOBST and Radex and focused exclusively on digital print using pioneering digital technology – has revealed the groundbreaking technology behind its range of innovative digital printers. The MouventTM Cluster is a radical new approach, which uses clusters instead of fixed size print bars by color, arranging them in a modular, scalable matrix. The result is one system that can be simply adapted for all substrates, of all widths, for all markets.

Komori Corporation (Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director, President and COO: Satoshi Mochida) and Komori America Corporation, the Komori subsidiary in America, have announced that the Komori Impremia IS29 UV digital inkjet printing system received the Printing Industries of America’s 2017 InterTech™ Technology Award.

Mark Andy Digital One, a CMYK dry-toner device with inline decorating and converting, has received a BS 5609 certification on Avery Dennison substrate. BS5609 is a certification that guarantees label durability in harsh marine and weather conditions. Labels printed with technology on material that retains the BS5609 certification will hold integrity, staying intact after up to 3 months of saltwater exposure. This is a common mandatory prerequisite for transporting oil and chemical drums overseas, boosting the longevity of key identifiers if a barrel were to accidentally fall into the ocean.
