Celloclair AG, a leading packaging manufacturer based in Liestal in Switzerland, has become the first company in the country to install 20SEVEN, the 10-color CI flexographic printing press from BOBST. It is also the first Swiss company to utilize the new Connected Services offering from BOBST, enabling a new form of cooperative partnership and optimized, connected machinery in the age of Industry 4.0.

20SEVEN from BOBST, which was launched in 2018, is one of the most innovative flexo printing presses available, with an impressive mechanical design enabling increased efficiency and process control. The machine has a number of enhanced features designed specifically for the growing interest in printing with the 7-color Extended Color Gamut (ECG). BOBST has long been an advocate of ECG, a technology associated with notable efficiencies and great printing quality.
BOBST Connected Services allows manufacturers to monitor the performance of their machines in real-time and enable them to make informed decisions on improvements. It also provides access to remote assistance, real-time collaboration with BOBST remote experts to diagnose and resolve issues. Connected Services support improved productivity, higher machine availability and higher production quality.
“One of our company’s mission statements is to offer professional packaging solutions through the use of ultra-modern printing machines. This is why we decided to invest in 20SEVEN from BOBST“, stated Roger Peter, owner of Celloclair AG. “When we saw the high performance of the machine during printing trials, along with the level of service offered by BOBST, it was clear that we had found the right partner.”
Celloclair AG is a 100% owned subsidiary of CAG Cartonnagen AG and specializes in high quality printing and packaging using the latest flexographic printing technology on flexible bio or polypropylene films. As Celloclair AG performs a lot of small runs in a very customer-oriented manner the efficiency, flexibility and consistency of 20SEVEN was very appealing. In addition, the compact design of the machine means it has a relatively small footprint, which is optimally suited for many shop floors.
“Our motto is ‘Make the pleasure visible on the packaging,’” said Mr Peter. “Our new 20SEVEN will help us to continue to do that for many years to come.”
