Converting Equipment International (CEI) has sold its fourth narrow web digital hybrid, 'CEI Bossjet powered by Domino', this time to North Carolina label and tag printer PrimeSourceOPC. The technology combines printing and fast high-quality finishing.
‘Raw materials go in one end and shippable products come out the other – this hybrid technology represents a paradigm-shift for label manufacturers worldwide,’ says Simon Gross, CEO of CEI.
Gross added, ‘One of our Bossjet customers asked to remain anonymous for at least six months – the amount of time they calculated it would take to pay off the approximately $1.4 million USD machine – because they didn’t want their competitors to know what they had going.’
The Bossjet features Domino’s N610i 4 to 7-color digital UV inkjet label press. The Domino is known for print quality, fast make-ready, low maintenance, no click-charges and less material waste. When combined with flexo embellishments, converting and finishing in a single pass, manufacturers can run more print jobs per shift, per day than ever.
