KRAIBURG TPE is presenting thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) that have a variable proportion of renewable raw materials. By introducing these new compounds, the global TPE manufacturer is expanding its THERMOLAST® R range of more sustainable solutions by adding a line of products from renewable raw material sources. Ten UPM Raflatac adhesives for logistics and e-commerce paper labels have been certified as recyclable in the paper and board-based packaging stream by the applied research and services institute Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS) in 2023.

UPM Specialty Papers, Lantmännen Unibake and Adara have co-created a new fibre-based packaging that replaces plastic bags as primary packaging for frozen baked goods. To minimize the use of fossil-based materials, the companies joined forces to create a solution where the plastic bags were eliminated by using UPM Asendo™ barrier paper as an inner liner in the corrugated cardboard box; the barrier paper layer ensures food safety and freshness.
