As part of the creative experience strategy, the Nuremberg company Staedtler has dedicated its back-to-school campaign for 2021 to the topic "nature". The PoS production created for this by Panther Display GmbH & Co. KG was awarded the German Packaging Prize in the goods presentation category for its outstanding performance. The company has once again received an award for inspiring and unusual displays.

The jury found: “The display impresses with the consistent implementation of brand communication in the color and design language of the brand. The surface design draws customers' attention to the topic of painting. A design highlight is the tree that protrudes on the side, which draws visual and tactile attention here with a paper honeycomb rosette. The naturalness of the tree goes hand in hand with the consistent implementation of the display as a paper-based single-material solution, including the concealed corrugated cardboard pallet as a goods carrier.”
The jury of Europe's largest exhibition for everything to do with packaging under the patronage of Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, awarded a total of 52 innovations from six countries in the competition for the best solutions organized by the German Packaging Institute. They are spread over all ten categories of the exhibition - from digitization to design and refinement, sustainability and economy to packaging machines and technology.
Panther Display's award-winning second placement focuses on the very successful and popular Noris Color colored pencils. The central eye-catcher of the display is a towering tree with a three-dimensional canopy. The tree is a symbol of Staedtler's responsible use of wood as a resource, from which the pencils are made. Due to the filigree paper structure of the rosette, the element appeals to several of the consumer's senses: the honeycomb rosette moves with a slight breeze, as in the natural environment of a forest.
The result is equally convincing through the visualization of the aspect of nature as through the attractive presentation of the successful brand. This resulted in a display with the basic dimensions of ½ pallet, which presents goods on Euro hooks as well as upright products in hanging trays and a floor tray. It is based on a corrugated cardboard pallet with a panel and offers plenty of space for product presentation on up to six levels on the front and back as well as on a narrow side. A simple refilling with the branded products is possible at any time.
An imaginatively designed tree grows upwards on the left-hand side of the display wall: Its canopy is partly made of a green honeycomb rosette: To achieve the 3D effect, the rosette, which is glued to the contour of the printed tree crown on one side, is fanned out and fastened on site . This gives the tree a natural, all-round visible crown and the display has a particularly high long-distance effect. With reference to the drawing and coloring pencils, the display is given a print design in which hand-hatched drawings of natural motifs - earth, grass, flowers, animals, etc. - are combined with one another. The well-known Staedtler logo is placed on the central display body so that it can be seen from afar.
As an important part of Staedtler's supply chain, Panther Display also handles the packaging of the secondary placements. In close coordination with the customer, the required quantities are set up and made available on demand. At the end of the campaign, the display made of corrugated cardboard goes back into the material cycle and is put to a new use via waste paper recycling.
