Following on from last year’s success at the FTA Excellence in Flexography awards, iTek Packz have excelled for the second year in a row by achieving a clean sweep in the Narrow web process, paperboard category by winning the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. All these jobs were run on an Edale FL5 with inline Flat Bed die cutter.
The FL5 is a cost-effective solution for the production of short to medium run, single pass folding cartons including embellishments such as foiling, lamination, reverse print, cast and cure, embossing, flat- bed die-cutting and stripping in a single pass with only 3 operators required for the entire process. Available in web widths from 510mm to 650mm and with the choice of roll to Flatbed die cutting, roll to rotary die cutting and roll to sheet as converting options, the FL5 is a highly efficient solution specifically designed for folding carton production. The unique Uniprint printhead geometry ensure the highest quality print allowing direct competition to offset printing traditionally used in carton production.
A few days later iTek Packz also won Gold for the second time at the 2019 Asian Packaging Excellence awards in the narrow web flexibles paper category.
