Analogue Printing

Taking advantage of the opportunity provided by two impressive BOBST CO 8000 coating lines currently in its production facility, waiting to be dismantled for shipment to the new owners, Bobst Italia is holding a two-day coating event taking place at its site in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy, on 25 and 26 July 2018. The lines are dedicated to silicone coating for release liners and film barrier coating applications respectively.

True to its reputation of being a formidable innovator focused on creating value to satisfy the different requirements of converters in today’s global marketplace, BOBST put on a great show combining innovative process applications and machine performance. The Open Door event took place in the Competence Center of Bobst Italia, in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy, on 30 and 31 May 2018, welcoming an array of customers from 23 different countries. The machines in demonstration were the RS 6003S gravure press in shafted configuration and two multi-technology laminating machines; the compact CL 750D and the CL 850D.

The new state-of-the-art greenfield facility of Bobst (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. located in the Wujin District of Changzhou city, in the Jiangsu province of China, played host to three days of celebrations and machine demonstrations on 16, 17 and 18 May 2018. The event marked the official opening of BOBST’s new production facility and Competence Center dedicated to web-fed printing and converting technologies for flexible materials.

COMPETENCE 18, this year’s Open House event at BOBST, attracted over 600 visitors, including many of the leading packaging and label manufacturers and converters in the industry. The event, which took place June 5-8, 2018 at the Competence Center of Bobst Mex, Switzerland, promised to show the “Solutions for the challenge of tomorrow,” addressing key trends facing packaging converters, such as the need for shorter runs, greater versatility, e-commerce and constant innovation.

Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), part of Barry-Wehmiller, is pleased to announce the launch of SteadyPrint, a new anti-bounce feature that is now part of the Fusion series of flexographic presses.
