Innovative Packaging Director for Heineken USA Presents Keynote at UBM Canon Conference
Joe Pagliaro, Director of Innovation and Packaging for Heineken USA, will deliver a keynote presentation at the Global Food & Beverage Packaging Summit, July 7-8, 2015, at the Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. Pagliaro led Heineken USA to being named as a packaging Visionary company, just one of nine companies to receive that honor in 2013, for innovative bottle design, which included the Ignite, with micro sensors to detect motions and LED lights that respond to sounds and motions. The company has also sponsored a design competition, Your Bottle of the Future Remix Challenge, which invites new bottle designs from designers around the globe.
In his keynote, at 8:30 am on Tuesday, July 7th, Pagliaro will discuss "A Wave of Packaging Innovation: How to Commercialize the Next Big Thing." This will include:
How to cost-effectively develop and promote a product to fit a consumer need they may not know they need yet
The risks of staying stagnant with your current design or package
What are the best strategies for cross-collaboration amongst companies?
Pagliaro's presentation will kick off two full days of conference sessions in two tracks: Marketing & Branding and Production & Engineering Technical Intelligence. Industry leaders in the food and beverage packaging industry will share their insights during panel discussions on intelligent packaging and new materials for sustainability, sessions on Innovation and Design for Millennials, and The Possibilities in 3D Printing, and many more. And in a fun challenge to attendees, R. Andrew Hurley, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Science at Clemson University, will ask conference delegates to update a package with current consumer demands in mind.
The UBM Canon Global Food & Beverage Packaging Summit will feature a newly expanded supplier showcase, featuring packaging innovations, technologies, and services.
