The leading industrial weighing and inspection supplier Minebea Intec is expanding its global presence with the opening of a new sales and service office in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This step continues the company’s successful market development in Eastern Europe and is fully aligned with its promise of “globally standing beside our customers”.

In mid-December, experts gathered at DIENES in Overath for the system days. DIENES showed slitting systems in final assembly. The exhibited systems will be used to cut a wide variety of materials, so that interested parties from a wide variety of industries such as paper/ cardboard, labels / adhesive tape, aluminum / non-ferrous metals film/foil / plastic / nonwoven / textile, rubber and composite materials / composites could get an idea of slitting possibilities at DIENES.

Flexi Labels, Peterborough – UK, install a 2nd Daco D350S sheeting line for the production of A4 & A3 laser / inkjet labels. Flexi Labels produce both short run, sometimes as little as 10 sheets and long run sheet labels. Initially they purchased a Daco D350S sheet production line which was installed in January 2016. With increased production requirements Flexi Labels ordered a 2nd machine with an increased specification to add further products to their growing portfolio of products.

As part of a substantial investment program, Vitra NV, a GMP and BRC certified Belgium packaging printer and converter, based in Wommelgem, has invested in two BOBST 20SIX CI flexo printing presses and a BOBST CL850 laminating machine. All new BOBST equipment will be installed in the second half of 2017 and significantly extend the company’s capacity.
