With 25 employees, four folding box gluers and three flatbed die-cutters from BOBST - among packaging manufacturers of this size, Bruns Kartonagen GmbH from Göttingen/Germany stands out with its technical equipment. With a new MASTERFOLD 110 and upgrades to two of its three ALPINA machines, the company has further increased its attractiveness in folding box gluing at the beginning of 2019. "One of our customers asked if we could give him a video on the high flexibility and production reliability of our MASTERFOLD 110. This alone shows how much this machine strengthens our market position," says Karsten Hunger, one of the company's three managing directors. With the same goal in mind, Bruns had one of his two ALPINA 110 folder gluers and his ALPINA 130 converted to the latest version of BOBST's MATIC controller, new drive controllers and new motors.

Metso has signed a contract for the delivery of a calcining system to a customer in Russia. The order value of approximately EUR 30 million has been booked in Metso’s Q1 2020 orders received. Commissioning of the system is expected to take place in 2023.

ACTEGA Metal Print GmbH announced today that the German print specialist Kolbe-Coloco Spezialdruck GmbH will become the first beta customer worldwide of the groundbreaking, sustainable and cost-efficient metallization technology EcoLeaf™. The company, which focuses on high-end applications, will use the new solution to print self-adhesive labels with decorative metallic effects - a profitable process suitable for a wide range of markets. According to Kolbe-Coloco, the main reasons for the decision were the elimination of film and the sustainability benefits of EcoLeaf™.
