At Labelexpo 2017, Domino Digital Printing Solutions was excited to announce that it has had positive results successfully printing on a number of industry standard shrink sleeve materials, using its newly launched UV90six colour UV-curable ink set in the N610i ink jet label press. These inks have excellent physical properties for printing on self-adhesive labels, but shrink sleeve capability has long been a disadvantage for ink jet when compared to toner solutions. However, with this latest technology breakthrough, this is now no longer the case.

With the new EasyFill application, Minebea Intec is now offering an innovative solution for easy single-component dosing. The software ensures simple and automated filling of raw materials such as liquids, powders and granulates. This reduces the manual workload, speeds up the production process and ensures that product quality remains consistent.

Responding to growing demands for greater flexibility for shorter-run, multi-version beverage packaging, Tonejet, the only manufacturer of advanced electro-static drop-on-demand digital print engines, will put the spotlight on digital printing direct to the can at InPrint in Munich (14-16th November).

Attendees at the 2017 PACK EXPO packaging tradeshow will be able to watch variable images get printed directly on a plastic cup. The demonstration will showcase 360 degree printing capabilities on three-dimensional cylindrical objects, taking Xerox’s Direct to Object Inkjet Printer one step further.
