LasX Industries, Inc., an industry leader in high performance, production class laser converting systems and services, has entered into a partnership with Dr. Wirth Grafische Technik GmbH for the distribution of LasX Industries laser systems throughout the DACH region. William Dinauer, President of LasX Industries and Wolfgang Dammer, Managing Director of Dr. Wirth Grafische Technik signed the agreement together at the beginning of September.

As a third-generation company, Dr. Wirth began as a regional printing press company and developed into an international group with branches in Germany and abroad. Their focus is in the graphic arts industry throughout Germany, Central Europe and China. Colordyne Technologies, DCM, HELL Gravure Systems, AMS Spectral UV, Versor and Miyakoshi are all part of Dr. Wirth’s extensive product portfolio.

Founded in 1998, LasX designs and manufactures high-performance industrial laser systems for on-demand converting applications with patented LaserSharp® digital converting technology. The company serves the flexible packaging, folding carton, decor printing, textile and electronics industries. More than 500 LasX standard and custom converting solutions for laser cutting and other processes have been installed.

The debut of the combined trade fairs pacprocess Tehran, as part of the interpack alliance, and IPAP Printing & Packaging Expo – powered by drupa, has markedly exceeded both exhibitors’ and visitors’ expectations and also prompted satisfied faces among the organisers Messe Düsseldorf and Barsaz Rooydad Pars Company (BRP). Process Expo 2017, which was held in Chicago from 19 to 22 September, clearly increased in internationalism. The tradeshow, which specialises in process engineering for food and beverages, is held by the Food Processing Suppliers’ Association (FPSA). It attracted nearly 14,000 visitors, with a 25% higher share of international visitors than two years ago. The entire available exhibition space of around 20,400 square metres was occupied by over 500 exhibitors.
