Pressure-sensitive films for the broad spectrum of graphic applications are the subject of a new edition of the established global market report from AWA Alexander Watson Associates: AWA Global Pressure-sensitive Graphic Films Market Study 2018. This is a major and diversified marketplace, representing a volume of 2575 million sqm of material volumes in 2017, and AWA forecasts that it will continue to grow at 6.2% per annum in the medium term.

The L9 group of international label associations are pleased to announce the results of the 2017 L9 World Label Awards (WLA) competition judged by an international panel of judges representing each of the participating associations. Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2018 has unveiled details of a series of educational events taking place during the show, held at BITEC in Bangkok on 10-12 May.
The Shrink Sleeve Technology Workshop takes place on Saturday 12 May and will be moderated by Andy Thomas-Emans, strategic director, Labelexpo. Topics covered include design and origination, inks, substrates, and converting and application technology. The workshop ends with a presentation on quality control and fault finding by one of the global industry’s leading shrink sleeve experts, Dr Séamus Lafferty, president of Barry Wehmiller company Accraply.

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has further optimized its financing structure and agreed a new syndicated credit line with improved conditions with its banking group. By taking out the credit line with a higher total of €320 million and a term that runs till March 2023, the company is creating financial flexibility and longer-term planning certainty. Besides supporting the day-to-day operational business of the global organization, the new credit facility underpins the strategy of further expanding new digital business models, such as the newly established subscription portfolio.
