New casting bench and two complete models supplied to RSL Deluxe Bathware, part of the Davora Group. The country’s second largest player looks to the future, with a sharp focus on quality products and European technology

With the launch of the RSL Deluxe Bathware investment plan, SACMI confirms its role as key partner to the country’s sanitaryware industry. Part of the Davora Group, which is involved in sectors that range from energy (water turbines) to agro-industry, the company has launched an ambitious modernization plan for its production plant near the capital city of Colombo.
At the core of this latest order lies the new BCV090 casting bench, made by SACMI Istanbul. Shipped only a few weeks ago, the bench can hold up to 90 plaster WC molds, divided into two 45-mold lines. The entire casting cycle is PLC-controlled, ensuring excellent process quality and repeatability while reducing the need for manual tasks.
In addition to the casting bench and the air-curtain dryer, SACMI has developed and provided two complete monobloc WC models for the customer so they can produce new flagship WCs of modern design, built to high quality standards with European technology. More specifically, SACMI has created polyurethane prototypes as per the customer's specifications; these will be shipped to RSL Deluxe Bathware together with the relative quality and hydraulic performance certifications.
This investment highlights the determination of the Group - and its Chairman Mr. Nishantha Nanayakkara - to invest in this sector, which is crucial to the country's economy; this is because Sri Lanka aims to develop a national industry that is less exposed to market fluctuations, especially as regards supplies, technologies and products from nearby India and China. For SACMI, then, this order further acknowledges the quality of our range. Moreover, it does so in an area where the Group is the sole supplier to the local sanitaryware industry and looks set to enjoy good growth in the coming years.
