Acquisition supports Güleç’s aim to embrace the digital print future

Güleç Etiket, a Turkish label specialist, has invested in a SCREEN Truepress Jet L350 SAI-E machine to boost its expansion into digital printing. By adopting SCREEN’s technology, co-owners and brothers Kadir and Kaan Güleç are striving to boost efficiencies and make their company future-ready.
Kadir and Kaan say their choice to invest in SCREEN’s SAI-E machine was the result of their search for ways to adapt their company’s business model to the shift to digital printing. “This machine offers us excellent printing quality, a fast response time, and it handles low volumes and variable data jobs with ease,” say the duo. “Also, the SCREEN machine is efficient, requires minimal service and is highly reliable.”
Ease of use and low service requirements are essential factors, as they reduce the company’s dependency on qualified operators. “There is a shortage of trained operators, and numbers are constantly decreasing,” say Kadir and Kaan. “Investing in sophisticated digital technology enables us to prepare ourselves for Industry 4.0, and continue to grow without being impacted by staff shortages.” The brothers are convinced the technology of the SCREEN Truepress Jet L350 SAI-E will enable Güleç to increase its overall service quality.
“The Truepress Jet L350 SAI E is the optimal inkjet model for Güleç Etiket’s intended range of applications,” says SCREEN’s product director Carlo Sammarco. “Our consultative approach and broad experience in inkjet digital printing gave our customer the reassurance and trust to choose SCREEN technology and to work with us as a reliable partner for the long run.”
Güleç Etiket specializes in 3D hologram, hot-foil hologram, barcodes, flexo-letterpress, and various other forms of bobbin labels.
Its client base spans a range of industrial sectors, such as food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Around 50% of Güleç’s products are exported and the company has a turnover of around €2.5 million. Recently, the company saw a spike in demand due to the war in Ukraine, as many companies shifted operations from Russia and Ukraine to Turkey.
“Throughout this process Güleç, has been closely supported by Elektroser, SCREEN's distributor in Turkey. Elektroser’s qualified installation engineers ensured a quick and smooth machine installation. We are proud that Güleç Etiket, which is a very ambitious printing company, chose SCREEN's inkjet technology over others in the cost-conscious Turkish market to meet its customers' critical needs. From now on, our dedicated service team will take care of all preventative maintenance on this new digital press to ensure Güleç stays focused in achieving its long-term vision,“ says Carlo Sammarco.
