Nilfisk responds to the increasing demand for autonomous cleaning with the introduction of the largest autonomous ride-on machine on the market and introduces an advanced accessory with UV-C light
Nilfisk, a leading global provider of professional cleaning solutions and services, announces the introduction of two powerful additions to its autonomous portfolio. The Nilfisk Liberty SC60, an autonomous scrubber-dryer powered by the Brain Corp BrainOSĀ® AI software platform, and a UV-C light-based accessory for Nilfisk's existing autonomous scrubber-dryer, the Nilfisk Liberty SC50, to remove viruses and other pathogens to fight.
These innovations, recently unveiled at a virtual launch event, are a significant step in Nilfisk's ambition to build a full portfolio of autonomous cleaning solutions. Hans Henrik Lund, CEO of Nilfisk, says:
& ldquoYears of development have enabled cutting-edge robotic technology in professional cleaning and, as a leader in intelligent cleaning, Nilfisk is committed to being at the forefront of this development. We are therefore very pleased to expand our portfolio with two new innovative solutions. Together with our strong technology partners, we constantly strive to deliver the best autonomous solutions on the market, tailored to the unique cleaning needs and environments of our customers, in order to increase their cleaning standards. Today we reaffirm this commitment! "
New standards for autonomous cleaning capacity
The Nilfisk Liberty SC60 is Nilfisk's first autonomous solution based on Brain Corp's powerful BrainOS - the world's most widely used platform for developing and managing autonomous mobile robots. With a working width of 71 centimeters, the high-performance machine is equipped with the largest scrubbing deck in the category of autonomous cleaning machines and is characterized by best-in-class user friendliness and significant operating capacity. This makes it ideal for maximizing cleaning efficiency in large indoor spaces such as shopping malls, warehouses, logistics, light industrial environments and similar areas. To this end, the SC60 complements the capabilities of the other autonomous scrubber-dryer in the Nilfisk portfolio, the Nilfisk Liberty SC50, which has been developed with a smaller form factor for cleaning in environments that require more precision, maneuverability and the ability to navigate in tight spaces .
With the introduction of a new autonomous floor cleaning machine in its portfolio, Nilfisk is responding to the recently increased demand for autonomous cleaning solutions.
& ldquoIn the past few months, cleaning has become even more important for companies and institutions as they are faced with new cleaning needs and wants due to the pandemic. Many have turned to autonomy to meet these new demands and we are very honored to be their partner. Together with our technology partners, we work every day to drive innovations in the market and to deliver solutions to increase the cleaning performance of our customers - and the SC60, the newest member of our autonomous portfolio, is proof of this, "says Hans Henrik Lund.
Combination of autonomous floor care with proven UV-C disinfection
By working with multiple partners, Nilfisk is able to bring innovations to customers quickly. The new UV-C solution that was also presented shows just that.
The solution was developed by Carnegie Robotics, an autonomous partner of Nilfisk, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to effectively fight viruses and other pathogens. The solution has been refined and tested, including by customers, and is now ready for commercial implementation.
The solution uses powerful UV-C light to inactivate viruses and other pathogens and can be attached to the Nilfisk Liberty SC50. The autonomous floor cleaning machine removes dirt and debris while the UV technology disinfects the surface at the same time. The machine aims at reliable, effective cleaning and disinfection of floor surfaces in indoor areas where hygiene is of the utmost importance, such as in hospitals, airports, supermarkets and schools.
The availability of the UV-C lighting solution can differ from region to region.
