EDP jury praises SCREEN inkjet label printer for its software and significant improvements in print quality and speed
SCREEN has won an EDP Award for its Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S - the third award the leading Japanese manufacturer of digital inkjet printing technology has received from the European Digital Press Association. Due to its extremely user-friendly software as well as improved print quality and speed, the jury named the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S the "best label printer".

Launched in 2020, the SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S is based on the proven, highly popular PLUS series, a versatile UV inkjet label press with high productivity and quality. The Japanese word "sai" means "colourful". This is exactly what the presses of the new SCREEN SAI series were developed for: they enable the reproduction of far more solid and spot colours. This enables print service providers to meet the high demands of brand owners. The machine prints on substrates with a width of up to 350 mm and has a print speed of up to 60 metres per minute. To date, SCREEN has sold more than 200 machines in its L350 series.
Because the new SAI platform is compact and customisable, it can be easily adapted to meet the demands of today's printing market. Its performance and functionality can also be expanded as market demands increase. The Truepress SAI S CMYK system can be easily upgraded from 4 colours to a 7-colour configuration, including white, orange and a special blue. The additional colours expand the colour gamut and reduce ink consumption because all available inks are used, even if the print job contains only CMYK data. In this way, the Truepress SAI S offers huge ink savings.
