EU regulation-compliant ColorWorks labelling solutionsEpson will be presenting its solutions for colour label printing at BioFach 2021 (17 - 19 February 2021). One focus of the manufacturer's presentation will be on the ColorWorks C3500, C6000 and C7500 series printers, whose labels are all compliant with the EU Regulation on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

In addition, the pigmented inks in these devices are durable, dry quickly and are resistant to light, water and many chemicals. This makes them suitable for labelling cosmetic products. These devices provide companies with flexible inkjet printing solutions for high-quality, flexible in-house production of all types of colour labels, tickets and price tags in any quantity, eliminating waste from excess labels. In addition to the printers, turnkey systems for the automatic application of high-quality labels will also be on display on the Epson stand at BioFach 2021. Thanks to advanced Epson inkjet technology, companies can use Epson ColorWorks printers to print on a wide range of different media, from low-cost premium matte paper and high gloss to BOPP high and satin gloss. The ColorWorks' high printing performance and unit-precise production also eliminate the need for stockpiling and overproduction, reducing costs.
In addition to the label printers themselves, Epson also produces the ink and driver software itself. This ensures optimum compatibility of the individual components, so that customers always receive a reliable, cost-effective printing solution with Epson ColorWorks. All of the company's production facilities meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. In addition, they also comply with the corresponding regulations of the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration). In addition, the inks in Epson's SurePress and ColorWorks printers are manufactured in accordance with the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principle, which closely controls every stage of the production process.
With Epson label printers, companies can flexibly and cost-effectively produce individual shelf and product labels down to a run of one. Thanks to these modern printing solutions, the time-consuming disposal of surplus labels and costly storage of pre-printed labels are a thing of the past. In addition, Epson ColorWorks printing solutions reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions thanks to their power-saving PrecisionCore printhead technology. The sustainability of ColorWorks printing systems is further enhanced by the low waste generated during operation.
Virtual presentation stand
Due to the Corona-related loss of face-to-face contacts, for example at trade shows, Epson is now providing all trade partners, integrators, distributors and their own customers with a hybrid trade show booth, the Epson Industrial Solutions Center+ (EISC+). This stand is a combination of a virtual communication platform and a physical exhibition stand. Different exhibits will be set up on an area of around 500 m² as required. Any interested partner from the EMEAR region can book a session on this 'exhibition stand' online by specifying the desired application. The Epson presentation for the upcoming BioFach 2021 will be controlled from this stand.
