This is good news, which Chromos GmbH announced at the end of June. The partner companies of the Augsburg-based trading and service company are reopening their demo centres for visits from customers and interested parties after they had to remain closed for around three and a half months due to Covid-19.

"With Durst and Omet in northern Italy and Codimag and Smag in the greater Paris area, we serve companies whose areas were particularly hard hit by the consequences of the Corona pandemic," says Klaus Sedlmayr, Managing Director of Chromos GmbH. "During this time many companies have used online presentations and webinars to keep in touch with the industry. However, in the long run, digital channels cannot be a real substitute for face-to-face meetings," he is convinced.
This is also demonstrated, for example, by the reaction to Durst's announcement that the Customer Experience Center (CEC) in Brixen will be reopened to visitors again - although for the foreseeable future only in compliance with the respective security measures in force. Despite this, Chromos GmbH has since then registered growing interest in experiencing Durst's RSC system live in action. Since the restrictions apply equally to all the partner companies mentioned at the beginning, the company offers to supervise these visits including all necessary measures.
Parallel to the live demonstrations, which are now possible again, the online demos, which have meanwhile proven their worth, are still available as an option. Helmuth Munter, Segment Manager for Labels and Package Printing at Durst, speaks from the heart of all supplier companies when he explains: "We are pleased about every contact that brings us back a little more normality, regardless of whether we meet in Brixen or online".
