HED GmbH Haftkettendruck is installing its first Indigo digital press, the HP Indigo 6900. The family business from Bietigheim-Bissingen offers a comprehensive portfolio of labels. In addition to standard labels, it also produces special labels for the pharmaceutical industry. These include, for example, serialised sealing labels, wrap-around labels specially designed for small diameter round containers or labels with one or more removable sections (e.g. labels on vaccine ampoules where the documentation section is glued into the vaccination passport).

Colorado Etiquettes, the Rouen-based family business that has been supplying the French label industry since 1973, has installed the first Mark Andy Evolution flexo press in Europe. At a ceremony to commemorate the occasion, Tom Cavalco, Executive Vice President of Sales for the American manufacturer said: “I am delighted to see that our latest flexo technology is applicable to and affordable by the smaller label converters who are looking to improve their productivity and extend their market opportunities. I congratulate Colorado on being the first label converter in France to benefit from what the Evolution has to offer.”

Mazovian Printing House (MZGraf) has recently enhanced its pressroom equipment with a new Performance Series P7E flexo press from Mark Andy. Due to this acquisition, MZGraf has significantly increased its ability to produce multicolor, highly finished labels, a segment which is already an important part of its portfolio. In this case, Mark Andy is not only a vendor of the press, but also a strategic partner in the advanced technological project (partly financed from the EU grants), concerning an introduction of specialized shrink sleeve labels to the market. Performance Series P7E press is a crucial part of this project.
