Leading UK packaging design and reprographics business, York Reprographic Group (YRG), has taken delivery of the latest CDI Crystal 5080 XPS technology for digital imaging and exposure of plates from Esko. Complemented by investment in a new X22 Kongsberg table for digital plate cutting, the installation performed in December is a first for Esko in the UK.

13 flexo presses produce over 200 million labels monthly

As one of the world’s leading producers of hygiene articles for small children and adults, the Ontex company wants to create added value and a clear differentiation at the point of purchase through innovation. To this end, together with the solutions provider Thimm, a customised packaging concept involving twelve different print images was developed. The order was realised using the digital web press technology, which Thimm offers with the largest system of its kind in the world to date.

UDS Sp. z o. o., one of Poland's leaders in point of sale (POS) signage production, will be Central Europe's first user of the EFITM Nozomi C18000 single-pass, ultra-high-speed LED inkjet corrugated press from Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (Nasdaq:EFII). With this machine, the Warsaw-based company will be able to provide faster response to customers' changing needs, solve warehousing problems for customers expecting just-in-time deliveries and add more corrugated packaging options to its product offerings.
