Finnish hotel chain Lapland Hotels has switched to using new heat-sealed bags made of Woodly® material for their food-to-go products. Known for its Lapland-themed hotels, restaurants and travel services, Lapland Hotels taking another step in sustainability by choosing Woodly.

“We chose Woodly because Woodly® material supports our own sustainability and responsibility values and targets”, comments Anu Kärki, the Shift Manager at Lapland Hotels Arena located at the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland.

Kärki reveals that she first found out about Woodly’s food packaging product while travelling herself.
“I first saw Woodly’s products on VR’s long-distance trains and noticed how good they looked,” she says.
The Woodly bag is made from the wood-based Woodly® material, which is carbon-neutral and recyclable. The bag is designed to reduce food waste and upkeep product freshness.
“Woodly looks and feels nice. In addition, we have already received user feedback that Woodly bags are much easier to seal with a heat-sealer than traditional bags”, concludes Kärki.
