Indian specialty packaging company Taurus Packaging recently installed a BOBST MASTER M5 inline flexo printing and converting press for production of short run shrink sleeve production. The Greater Noida-based company offers a complete range of flexible packaging solutions and is also one of the largest heat-shrink sleeve and label manufacturing companies in India.

Established in 1995 Taurus Packaging serves the food and beverages, personal care, home care, dairy and pharmaceutical industries. To cope with the strong increase in demand for shrink sleeves and also the complexity of added value embellishment type applications that the market demands, in 2020 Taurus invested in a BOBST MASTER M5 inline flexo press: a 9-color machine, 530 mm in web width, equipped with host of inline accessories for multi-process capabilities that is fully dedicated to shrink-sleeve manufacturing.

The company offers a variety of added value shrink sleeve applications from holographic to cold foil, thermochromic and scented shrink sleeves through to applications for special promotional campaigns with unique codes and scratch off coating, as well as double pocket shrink sleeves for combo pack.
Taurus Packaging’s MASTER M5 is equipped with turn bars and a laminator for reverse printing and cold foil, it handles a variety of inks types including UV and water-based inks, varnishes, and full white. It can also handle a great variety of substrates, granting perfect registration of filmic unsupported heat sensitive substrates, which is a must to ensure repeatable and consistent high-quality printing and minimum waste. The full inspection system before the rewinder constantly monitors the production quality.
