HERRMANN Druck+Media GmbH in Sonnenbühl, Swabia, has been relying on printing systems from MGI Digital Technology since 2010. As exclusive MGI partner in Germany and Austria, Konica Minolta has now installed the next generation for the customer: With MGI Meteor Unlimited Colors Se+, the experts for professional special prints can further expand their range of products and now also offer finishing options with digital metallic foil application.

The Meteor Unlimited Colors Se+ represents the first complete digital solution for toner printing with inline foil application. This means that foiling and CMYK printing can be carried out on a single digital printing press. With this machine, HERRMANN Druck+Media will be able to print on various plastic materials and paper types in highly professional quality and finish them directly with foil.
The new Meteor Unlimited Colors Se+ is particularly suitable for HERRMANN Druck+Media to produce plastic cards using a special production process. With the new system, the company can also further expand its range of products for very short runs and offer additional finishing options via digital foil stamping with metallic foil. Business cards, certificates and letterheads can also be finished in this way. The print shop also uses the foil module in security printing. Admission tickets, vouchers and certificates can be personalized or numbered with metallic foil. A suitable addition to the patented copy protection combination, which HERRMANN Druck+Media has developed in-house for offset and digital printing.
The Meteor Unlimited Colors Se+ enables an effective production with foil application and thus the refinement of logos, fonts, surfaces and many other elements. "We are pleased that we can now offer our customers an inexpensive digital foil stamping in-house", explains Willi Vöhringer of HERRMANN Druck+Media.
The company also makes its wide range of special products available to other printers via the portal www.druck4kollegen.de.
Christian Thiemann, Account Manager Professional Printing at Konica Minolta, adds: "This project shows the strength of our expanded partnership with MGI. We know the situation and the needs of our customers and can therefore also recommend, install, and provide training to employees on MGI's solutions that are tailored to their needs.
As an exclusive partner of MGI, a leading manufacturer of digital print finishing systems, Konica Minolta is the sole contact in Germany and Austria for all service, support, and administration issues and offers a dense network of Konica Minolta employees for direct on-site support and further development of customer solutions.
