New ThermoPRO granulators from Rapid Granulator are tailor-made for use in-line with thermoforming lines

At Plast 2018, leading size reduction equipment manufacturer Rapid Granulator is introducing a new range of granulators designed specifically for in-line processing of skeletal waste from sheet and film thermoforming lines. The new patent-pending ThermoPRO Series – based on an already patented Rapid design – is available in various standard and low-built formats for handling scrap widths from 600 to 1,500 mm (24-60 in.). A ThermoPRO 400-90 for granulating webs up to 900 mm in width (35 in.) will be on display at the company’s booth, B102, Pav. 15, during Plast 2018, 29 May – 1 June in Milan.

Zanders: raw material surcharge as of May 14th 2018

The pressure of further price increases on raw materials is having a dramatic effect on global paper production. This applies to chemicals as well as energy and transport, but especially for pulp. Analysts do not see any decrease in the forthcoming period – the industry must be prepared to face these increases throughout 2018. To ensure the quality of its products and services, Zanders will be the first paper producer to introduce a raw material surcharge that at least partially offsets the described cost increases. The surcharge will be 4 to 7 percent, depending on the product, and effective for all deliveries from May 14th 2018.
