BST eltromat International, a leading manufacturer of quality assurance systems in web processing production processes, and SeeOne Vision Technology srl, a manufacturer of surface inspection systems based in Florence, Italy, signed a partnership agreement at K 2019. BST eltromat Italia, a 100% subsidiary of the BST GROUP, has been working with SeeOne for many years on special surface inspection requirements. The good cooperation has now resulted in the partnership agreement signed by BST eltromat Managing Director Kristian Jünke and Leandro Giovannoni, General Manager of SeeOne, at the BST eltromat stand in Hall 4 (Stand C34).
SeeOne has been developing and producing surface inspection systems for various industries for more than 30 years. The product portfolio covers various applications in rewinders, slitters, squeegee machines, blown film extruders, calenders, milling machines as well as coating and application machines. The main product, LINESCAN, can be used in a wide variety of applications thanks to its modular concept. Its cameras and light sources can be flexibly adapted depending on the application site and scenario. The surface inspection experts also design individual solutions for special customer requirements.
SeeOne systems detect various defects in different materials such as foils, metallized foils, paper or cardboard, such as holes or inclusions of insects and dirt. This ideally complements the BST eltromat product portfolio. "With SeeOne, we have gained an experienced partner for surface inspection. Together we can respond even more flexibly to the special challenges and individual requirements of our customers and support them better in optimizing their production processes," says Jünke, welcoming the closer cooperation with the Italian company. Leandro Giovannoni also sees decisive advantages for his company in the partnership with BST eltromat. The worldwide presence of BST eltromat's experts helps us to find the perfect solutions for our customers' quality assurance".
The findings from surface inspection with SeeOne systems can be used in various ways to optimize production processes. At K, BST eltromat presented SeeOne's LINESCAN surface inspection system to demonstrate the advantages of this additional component in quality assurance to its customers in film extrusion. The findings from surface inspection can have effects on the further processing of the film, e.g. in printing. BST eltromat demonstrated the advantages that can result in the area of its innovation management: "We show our customers the future possibilities that can result from the cooperation between BST eltromat and SeeOne and how they can benefit from our work across all value-added chains," says Jünke.
