The distinctive e-commerce packaging of the Billebeino clothing brand has met with a positive customer response and meets the growing demands for sustainability. The design of the packaging, which Adara Pakkaus Oy produces digitally printed from Metsä Board's white kraftliner, changes according to the theme of the collection. Digital printing enables changing motifs with optimised order quantities. The high whiteness of the kraftliner ensures excellent colour reproduction. The material is strong yet lightweight and recyclable, making it a sustainable choice.

"Sustainability is an important element of our brand. We manufacture our clothing largely from recycled materials. We don't produce short-lived fashion, but durable, responsibly manufactured clothing. That's why corrugated board is a packaging material that suits us well. It is important that our products reach the customer undamaged and that the packaging can be easily recycled," explains Juhani Putkonen, CEO of Billebeino.
Billebeino generates around 65% of its sales through online trading. "The changing motifs of e-commerce packaging are well received by our customers and the unpacking experience is shared on social media," Putkonen continues.
Billebeino was founded in 2015 by Juhani Putkonen and Ville Leino. The company is named after Ville Leino: during his time as an ice hockey player in the North American ice hockey league NHL he was often called Bille Beino.
The E-flute packaging produced by Adara in digital printing is made of MetsäBoard Classic WKL (135 g/m2) on the front and MetsäBoard Natural WKL Bright (120 g/m2), an uncoated white kraftliner.
