Interpack, the leading trade fair for the packaging and process industry, will open its doors again this year in Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 May 2020. Whether individual software solutions for digital packaging concepts, environmentally friendly materials or exciting new products - at Stand C21 in Hall 14 visitors to the fair can explore Bizerba's holistic solution portfolio.

Consumer behaviour, markets and technologies change rapidly and influence the entire packaging industry. Particularly in the case of food, the trend is increasingly moving towards even safer and environmentally friendly packaging. Around 3,000 exhibitors from around 60 countries will present their latest ideas, innovative concepts and modern technologies in this area at Interpack 2020.
Digital transformation
When it comes to increasing productivity and reducing costs, many companies rely on digital strategies. Almost all processes and procedures of a company - from procurement to production and maintenance - are affected by this transformation. The Digital Solutions from Bizerba support companies in meeting the challenges of Industry 4.0. At the Interpack 2020 the Bizerba experts will provide interested trade fair visitors with individual advice on intelligent software and monitoring solutions that enable the digitalisation and automation of manual processes and can process data in real time.
Sustainable packaging
Topics such as sustainability and recycling have been shaping the packaging industry for years. Especially the discussions about plastic packaging have given the industry a new dynamic. Even if labels often only make up a small part of the packaging, they are still decisive for whether or not a package as a whole is sustainable. From procurement to production and recycling, Bizerba is presenting environmentally friendly label solutions for sustainable processes at its stand at Interpack 2020.
Innovative technologies
In order to appeal to customers emotionally and haptically, retailers are increasingly turning to lifestyle-compatible packaging, coloured labels and labels made of high-quality materials. The growing volume of necessary consumer information is also forcing manufacturers to use ever larger formats. The solution: full-wrap labels. Ready-to-eat or "ready to cook" meals in particular are labelled with these labels wrapped around the product. At the Interpack 2020 visitors can now discover the GLM-levo F-Wrap, the matching labelling solution from Bizerba, for the first time. When using full-wrap labels no backing paper is wasted, which means that the GLM-Ievo F-Wrap makes a significant contribution to sustainable production. With the full-wrap labeller Bizerba now also supplies a total solution for the trade for corresponding products, where weighing, marking and matching labels are offered from a single source.
